Coya Pet Food
Case study
About
Coya are a fellow local-to-Norfolk business that produce freeze-dried pet food. They came to Castle Colour for solutions for their 150g, 750g and multipack cartons.
Objective
The final product needed to feel premium to the consumer when buying premium pet food for their furry friend, while also retaining recyclability
Approach
During the development process, our in-house creative design team worked closely with the brand owners and their design agency to ensure we delivered exceptional packaging.
We overcame many challenges by ensuring multiple samples, trials, and testing to make sure the box was premium and correct for the auto filling lines and that the packaging was strong enough to hold the contents across multiple product weights. During the development of this project, various wet proofing and scatter proofing exercises were conducted to ensure we achieved the right outcome
Key Feature
The final packaging is finished with a beautiful water based inline applied soft touch varnish that is fully recyclable and provides that inviting and premium tactile feel to the consumer.
Flexibility and a comprehensive project team were key to the success of the project, which involved regular roundtable meetings held between us, the brand owner, and the design agency.
Outcome
Coya were thrilled with the high quality of our final products and the consistently exceptional level of service that they received from Castle Colour- From our customer service team down to our production team.
